About us
Mission
Our mission is to design, develop and manufacture a functional UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) autonomous, safe, efficient and adaptable to various applications, with the aim of demonstrating all the work in competitions with other universities.
Commitment
We are committed to fostering practical and technical learning with interdisciplinary collaboration among students, aiming to overcome technical and ethical challenges and promoting the responsible use of technology for the benefit of society and the environment.
Our Prototypes
H130-Skylark
Every year we try our hardest to show our team’s talent, and we believe this year’s prototype will take us to the next level.
The 2023/2024 season model is the pinnacle of various years of research, development and refinement of various building techniques with which we aim to showcase our engineering design and manufacturing capabilities.
H120-Azor
The prototype of the 2022/2023 season, with which we were able to achieve a 4th place in the UAS Challenge competition, allowed our team to demonstrate a whole year of work, learning, and growth as a team. The H120 represented the change that the team needed to become who we are now.
H110-Falco
Thanks to the members of Horus from the 2021/2022 season, which was not easy, we achieved a 3rd place in the competition, allowing for a significant improvement over its predecessor, the H101-Hermes.
H101-Hermes
Our first prototype, which represents our origins. It was a great challenge since hydrogen fuel cell technology was pioneering among all the teams at the university, among other adversities.
UAS Challenge
In 2021, the team decided to take its H110 prototype to compete with different universities at the UAS Challenge in the UK. This year will be the third edition in which Horus participates. This competition has its origins in the small town of Buckminster Lodge in 2015. Today, more than 38 universities participate in it, which is why the event has gained significant importance worldwide in the field of UAV technology.
